Friday Finds: Azhar (Huzzah!)

The Ossington strip never fails to disappoint. There are not only amazing restaurants and bars, we’ve now got bottle shops too. A blessing for my taste buds and a curse for my wallet and liver!

While hanging with friends, they brought along a few tasty dips and pita bread from a new restaurant on the Ossington strip.

Let me introduce you to…AHZAR.

*Mmmm drooling*

Currently operating as a marketplace, this restaurant has tasty treats from turkish delights and baklava to mouthwatering dips like hummus, labneh, babaganoush and tzatziki. Not only have they carefully crafted their dips, but you can also tell they’ve put just as much time and effort into developing their bread (a dips favourite vehicle) as well. We tried both their sourdough & potato pita and barbari flatbread and you really can’t go wrong.

Just a mere one week after trying the deliciousness with our friends, we decided we were ready for it again. After ordering online, I realized they are a part of the Gusto 54 umbrella (think Gusto 101 & 501, Chubby’s and a few others) so of course they delivered the goods.

If you ever find yourself at Queen & Ossington, definitely give it a try. Grab a drink or get a dip to go. You won’t be disappointed!
