Six Apps We’re Loving Right Now

We love a good app. Here are our combined top six apps that we’re loving these days.

1. SPOTIFY

   I know what you’re thinking. This one’s a bit of a cop-out. But, hear me out, hear me out. I have issues with waking up around 4 am and not being able to fall back asleep. What really helps my overactive mind is Podcasts. There are so many good ones. Here are a few of my faves:

   • This American Life - A weekly radio show where a theme is highlighted and stories are shared around the theme. Highly recommend!

   • The Trojan Horse Affair - A new podcast from Serial Productions that investigates a British scandal.

   • Sweet Bobby - A crazy catfishing story that takes place in England.

   • Crime Beat. - Each episode highlights some of Canada’s most high-profile stories. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely for all my true crime junkies. (is it weird I fall asleep to this? YES.)

   • Today, Explained - 25 minute episodes, packed with relevant, worldly info. A great way to keep up to date.

2. HEADSPACE

   A really great app for newbie meditators like myself. Also great for those with sleep issues. Ha. Can you see a recurring theme here? Their sleepcasts are really nice to fall asleep to.

3. TO DO

   A great organization tool! Create multiple to do lists at the same time. Invite others to join specific lists. Scott and I use it for weekly grocery shopping. The other person is notified in real time when items are ticked off.

4. POMODOR

   An easy way to stay focused and on track. For those unfamiliar with the pomodoro method, you set a timer for twenty-five minutes to work on that task and then set a timer for a five-minute break. Repeat that process three more times and then give yourself a thirty-minute break. I find it so easy to get off track these days and this is something that really helps.

5. AUDIBLE

   Audio books! You know what’s so great about audio books? You can listen to them anywhere. A great way to multi task. Walk your dog and listen to a book. Make a meal and listen to a book… you get the point.

6. FORMULA 1 RACING APP

   One stop shop to get up to date news, results and analysis for all things Formula 1. Who are you cheering for?
